Life at Peatlands moves at a gentler pace. Spend slow mornings with freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries from our on-site bakery, wander quiet country lanes lined with meadow and grazing animals, or explore the nearby nature reserve with its rich wildlife and peaceful walking trails. Pick up artisan produce from local farm shops, return from the coast to evenings beside the fire, and enjoy simple moments of comfort and connection surrounded by nature.

For those looking to immerse themselves more deeply in the experience, guests can also join our Saturday Sourdough Experience and learn the art of naturally fermented breadmaking here at Peatlands.

Explore the causeway coast

The Causeway Coast offers a rich mix of coastline, landscape, history and local character to discover at your own pace. Spend the day exploring the clifftop paths and dramatic scenery of the Giant’s Causeway and the Causeway Coastal Route, visiting the ruins of Dunluce Castle, tasting whiskey at the Old Bushmills Distillery, or taking the ferry across to Rathlin Island.

From sandy beaches and coastal walks to historic towns, hidden coves and world-famous landmarks, the area is filled with memorable places to explore. We also love sharing our own favourite local recommendations - the places and experiences that make this part of Northern Ireland so special.

Events for everyone

Visitors to the Causeway Coast can enjoy a varied and lively calendar of events the whole year through. Highlights of the calendar include the North West 200, Rathlin Sound Festival, Supercup NI, Ould Lammas Fair and the Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival.
